After 6 weeks with a tweaked knee, healing has occured! Not one to take it easy for long, I set out on a little mountain bike ride last week...
From the shop: 276->FS477->276->Pink Beds->FS476->Yellow Gap Rd->unmarked Pilot connector->Slate Rock Creek/Pilot Cove->Yellow Gap Rd->FS5015->lounging in green splendor of Bradley Creek field->Laurel Creek->Squirrel->Mullinax->South Mills River to Cantrell Creek and then backtrack to Wagon Rd-> HIKE up Wagon Rd trail->Turkey Pen Gap trail->Black Mt->and back.
Phenomenal weather, great riding. Turkey Pen is in absolutely terrible shape, especially from just before Horse Knob to the Black Mountain terminus. Simply walking on the trail has been rendered nearly impossible in many places due to the prolific number of downed trees. This may be my post el stumpo jumpo trail project.
