2025 was quite the year. Here's are the highlights...
Visited new (to me) places in California that took my breath away:
| Point Lobos |
| PCH near Big Sur |
| Pinnacles (condors not pictured but were swooping overhead!) |
| Hwy 395 south of Mammoth |
Warners
High desert sunsets & dark skies
Did some multiday river trips:
| Eel 4-day trip |
Battle Creek packraft overnight
| Rogue 4-day (birthday!) trip |
| Got the spouse fairly comfortable rowing class 3 AND finally bought a raft frame and cooler! |
Let trail stuff sort of take over my marriage/life, including but not limited to trail work and all things and drama related to trail construction and planning:
| Led/co-led 10 days of trail work |
| Thad on the opening day for his 15 miles of new singletrack at Colby |
| Putting those covid funds to good use |
Rode some miscellaneous conquests in the Lost Sierra, including 3000'+ tech/hike-a-bike climbs, this summer and fall:
| Lakes Basin fun like climbing Elwell from the east |
| Chimney Rock via Empire Creek |
| Spencer Lakes obscurity |
Got obsessed with the High Sierra (what took so long?!) and had to go back:
Was the loneliest I've been in my entire life yet managed to spend some free time with good people in various places around the country:
